About the UK Escape Room Awards
The UK Escape Room Awards exist to celebrate and recognise the best escape rooms across the United Kingdom. The mission is straightforward: to highlight the best games in the UK and allow them to shine.
The awards are designed by enthusiasts, for enthusiasts, and for the industry as a whole. The goal is to give recognition to great creators, encourage others to raise their game, and raise awareness that escape rooms are not all the same. For venues, a UK Escape Room Awards nomination or win is a meaningful endorsement from the people who know the industry best.
The 2026 awards will recognise rooms across three categories:
- Top UK Rooms: a list of the top rooms in the country
- Top Newcomers: rooms that have been open for less than two years
- Regional Winners: the top rooms from each of the UK’s defined regions
Results are drawn from a single stacked ranking, meaning all three sets of winners come from one unified vote rather than separate voting processes for each category.

How to Participate
The UK Escape Room Awards are not decided by a panel of judges or industry insiders, but by the people who know escape rooms best: experienced players who have travelled across the country in search of exceptional games.
As such, to be eligible to participate you must:
- Have personally played 50 or more unique escape rooms in the UK
- Be able to provide evidence of your experience
- Declare any affiliations with escape room venues or companies (past or present)
If you meet these criteria, you may participate in any phase of the process, either nominating games, voting on the finalists, or both.
